The album
Victorious at Dawn
Victorious at Dawn follows the heroine’s journey. A journey of resurrection and alchemy, of self-reclamation and sovereignty.
Remembering
I was writing a musical when I wrote what would become the first song for the album, “What If We Remember.” The next day, memories began to surface of being abused as a child.
And so began my journey of remembering. Not just memories, but remembering who I am, underneath the sediment and the conditioning that accompanies trauma.
The album
The songs that followed felt like gifts sent from the universe. An alchemy pathway. Each song carried the medicine I needed to move through the phase of healing I was in. Each song asked me to grow, so that I could more deeply embody its wisdom. Each song held me through whatever I was being asked to face.
Victorious at Dawn takes the listener on a journey, from dissociation to reclaiming sovereignty, from victimization into freedom, and from lead into gold.
To you
If these songs stir something in you, please be gentle with yourself. I’ve gathered the healers, books and tools that have supported me on my Healing Resources page, in case they may support you too. I also deeply trust you on your journey, to listen to and honor your own discernment.
Fair warning: if you’re being called to this album, your soul may be ready for a deep transformation. I honor you for your courage.
I hold you in love, and I celebrate you.
